Saudi Arabia winger Fahad Al-Muwallad in intensive care after falling from balcony

Saudi Arabia international Fahad Al-Muwallad has been admitted to intensive care after he fell from a balcony at his property in Dubai.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The 30-year-old winger, who plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, fell from the second floor of a balcony while vacationing at his apartment in Dubai on Thursday – as per . Al-Muwallad was subsequently rushed to hospital and admitted to intensive care. Dubai Police are currently investigating the incident.

    WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

    Local police said in an official statement released on Saturday that Al-Muwallad "fell from the balcony of his second-floor home", before adding that "investigations are ongoing, and the competent authorities will be informed of the results of these investigations once they are completed".

    Al-Muwallad graduated from Al-Ittihad's youth system and made his debut for the Saudi top division side in 2011. In 2018, he briefly joined La Liga side Levante on loan, appearing in two matches before returning to Al-Ittihad. In 2022, he left his boyhood club to join Al-Shabab. He made his debut for the national team in 2012 and has since appeared in 78 international matches
